hehe... thts there bout digital art... but u don hafta learn everythin bout photoshop... n the only thin i use it is to color... n its easy cuz i use a graphics tablet... totally recommend u get one... if ur interested

uhm, i've tried painting. i've got one that i've done in my gallery ([link]) but the medium annoys me, i must admit. i'm terrible with colours, and i find a dry medium a LOT easier to use, lol! though i do still paint every now and then, when the mood grabs me.
you should experiment with traditional mediums! really, its fun! and less strain on the eyes, lol! thts my main problem with digital works... i can't look at a screen for that long. plus i can't figure out how to use photoshop 7, which is what i have *is technologically inept*

oh ok... sounds interesting... do u paint as well? i don really do ny traditional stuff... lot faster n easier digital am concentratin on character development

mmmm, i know - one of my best friends lives in ireland, and i'm thinking that i'll be doing this course with him. Its called a PLC - post-leaving certificate - and you pretty much get a whole year to build up your portfolio, all the materials and help you could ask for... that is, of course, if as a non-citizen i can do it. we're inquiring into that, lol!

im payin 9000 aussie dollars a semister and the course is 3 yrs... well if u from a software background, thts gud... but i do hav one unit for programming... its basic programming... like u said jus asset linking... but tht wudnt b a prob for u. u don hafta do GREor TOFEL... thts a waste if time... jus do ur IELTS... its a pre-requisit for ur visa.

wow cool!!! like how much u r paying for this course...and how much time does it take?? sorry if i'm too overloadind u with questions....cuz i myself does'nt wanna do ne fukn software job. also how can i apply. thru GRE/TOEFL?? i know a bit of 3d modelling and have started learning animation. as i'm from engineering background...so can do engine programming or assets linking also. but tht wil be my last priority.....i badly wanna go into production department( if i'm not wrong....cuz production department handles the assets modelling, weapons, characters, storyboard, grafixes n all). help plz!!! adios mate!

where exactly in europe u tryin for? actually i don think gettin the best training wud effect ur artwork... i mean no1 ever taught me how to draw i jus kept experiment wit new techniques... i cant really do a sketch witout smudging all the pencilwork i gotta rub it off wit a putty eraser at the end... hehe... but yea in the end its u has to put ur vision on ppr...

oehhhhhh i understand COMPLETELY!!! i can't wait to go to an art college - i plan on going over to Europe to do that, so that i can get a really good course - Australia has such crappy fine arts courses -.-

ur engineering background will be pretty useful... but this feild is all bout creativity... u can do a degree in games and interactive entertainment or if u think u kno enuf in 3d animation and traditional art, u can strt applyin to game companies... but ull need a very impressive portfolio or demo reel. here is my University's link... look up the games course in the IT faculty [link]
